The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) for June 2024 on October 17, 2024. This examination, held on behalf of the University Grants Commission (UGC), is a key criterion for determining the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowships (JRF), Assistant Professor positions, and Ph.D. admissions at universities across India.

Of the over 11 lakh candidates who registered for the exam, approximately 6.84 lakh appeared. Out of these, 4,970 candidates successfully qualified for JRF, 53,694 for Assistant Professor positions, and 1,12,070 for Ph.D. admissions.

In the Arabic subject, 1,795 candidates appeared from the 3,096 who had registered. Among them, 20 qualified for JRF, 161 for Assistant Professor positions, and 340 for Ph.D. admissions.
